i have a special place in my heart for moments when i see father's been gentle or affectionate. particularly with little girls. they're raising them up to be daddy's girls...it's just so damn cute. or maybe just to me 'cause I never really was?
...either way...
james finds himself at the mercy of the phenomenon of life in his hands.
way to be amazed, you little dad, you.
i thought about and tried adding an environment while i drew this, but anything i attempted just made it seemed cluttered. i guess i favor negative space?
Absolutely amazing, as usual. And your use of negative space is really outstanding! I think it's what makes your drawings so... personal somehow, you know? Not many people would've foregone the background here, and you absolutely made the right choice leaving it blank!
Great job! And I know what you mean... dads being all affectionate toward their little kids is so adorable. I absolutely love this drawing and I actually think the negative space was a good choice. It draws attention to the main part of the drawing. Great job!
Just perfect... I love this kind of scenes, and I love your portrayal of both the characters=] James looks so young!... And don't worry about the negative space. We love the negative space. Negative space is gooooood No, seriously, it's perfect(the negative space AND the picture)

This is just perfect. I love the simplicity of it all. (: Expressions are spot on and I love the kiss on the back of the head. Soo cute! (:
Now is this James Potter and his son or Harry Potter and his son? I thought it was Harry and his son, considering the order of your copyright, but I cannot be sure.

I understand you only too well! The first thing I drew after years of frustrated pause was a grown-up Harry with his baby son. The image came from a fanfiction I read and it was so powerful that it compelled me to take up a pencil once more. Take a look if you like[link] I've got a more recent (and far better) drawing of Harry and Albus, too. Maybe you'd like to comment [link]
